I found some awesome Art Minds Shea butter and goats milk soap on sale at Michael's the other day. I colored  some bars violet and scented them with almond scent. I also bought the molds at Michael's as well.

The jewel style bars were made with Shea butter and tinted clear glycerin based soap. I scented them with an orange scent.

This project was a lot of fun. I've always wanted to play around with soap, but I didn't want to make it from scratch. A two-pound tub of high quality soap that you can melt in the microwave, scent, and color in less than an hour is about $5.00.

You you can put any bar soap in the microwave or double-boiler and then scent it, color it, add herbs, oatmeal, whatever, and then pour it into any mold.

Next time you're in the grocery store, and you see basic white soap on sale, grab it! It's a fun project.
