Hat City

When I am bored and am between projects I like to use scrap yarn and knit a hat or two. With this pattern, knit four, purl two, you can turn any yarn into a chunky cap.

For a one size fits all hat cast on 72 stitches using a 10# circular needle. Knit four, purl two for about six to eight inches, then decrease alternating regular rows in increment of five until you have just a few stitches remaining. Use a darning needle to pull the remaining stitches together closing the top of the cap. Pull the yarn through the inside, then weave in the ends. I can whip out one of these in two days.
